DEXSORB® PFAS Filtration System Overview

Based on PFAS levels in Table 2 and the PFAS treatment target, the full-scale system design is shown in Figure 2 and Table 3. The design uses one vessel in PBF configuration, containing 18 lbs of DEXSORB® granules, to provide a system EBCT of 1.4 minutes. Backwash capabilities are incorporated into the vessel. The system is projected to remove EPA6 PFAS for a capacity of 6,240 gallons at the 3-gpm flow rate. This translates to 52 weeks of operation at the peak flow rate of 120 gallons per week (to be confirmed) before media changeout is needed.

The client should provide a flow rate of 3 gpm with 15 psi pressure to support the DEXSORB® system operation. Hook & Ladder Supply or extractor manufacturer can provide suggestions on selection of sump-pump and retention tank if needed. The retention tank and sump pump are not included in this package.
