The purpose of this document is to provide general venting recommendations for your Circul-Air Corp. Cabinet
Dryer. This document will not cover all installation scenarios and will not replace the expertise of a licenced
HVAC technician or designer; particularly in the case of new Fire Station builds.

Safety:
Circul-Air Corp Cabinets must never be operated with the fan blade exposed. Typically this blade is 2.5 – 3.5”
proud of the roof of the equipment. As such to meet most regional standards one of the two following must
be met:

  • For 2 Gear models the fan guard must be in place unless ducted.
  • The unit must be ducted at least 36”, preferably to the outside, or at an angle from the roof of the
    machine.
Only a trained technician should operate the machine with the ducting or guard removed, and only when
verifying the unit is properly installed and functioning, or when diagnosing issues.
    Recommendations:
It is strongly recommended to vent dryers to the outside; this prevents moist air from building up in bays or
equipment rooms. However, venting outside in not always required; provided there is adequate make up or
air exchange in the room/bay. At a minimum, venting moist air “away” from the dryer’s make-up air ensures
    dryer efficiency is maintained.
    Typical Installation:
  • 14” – 12” Collar, mounted by sheet metal screws down into the roof of the machine.
  • 12” Straight – 12” – 36” vertically
  • 12” 90 degree towards wall.
  • 12” straight penetration.
  • Adjustable louvre on outside to close when not in use.
